How Pruv collects, uses and protects your information.

What we collect

• Account details: name, email address, school, phone number (optional) and a short bio.
• Payout details: bank name, account number and account name, if you sell.
• Activity: your products, orders and messages on the platform.
• Security information: the email address and IP address used in failed log-in attempts, kept for a short time to protect accounts.
• Notifications: if you turn on notifications, your browser's notification address, so we can send them.

How we use it

• To run the marketplace, process orders and send payouts.
• To let buyers and sellers contact each other.
• To keep the platform safe, prevent fraud and resolve disputes.

Who can see it

• Other users can see your name, school, bio and products.
• Your phone number is shown only to the other person in an order, after payment.
• Your bank details are visible only to our administrators for payouts.
• Payments are processed by Paystack under its own privacy policy. We do not store card details.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies.

Security and retention

Passwords are stored in hashed form. We keep your information while your account is active and as long as needed for order records and legal obligations.

Deleting your account

• You can delete your account yourself at any time from Account, then Delete account.
• Your name, email address, phone number, bio, bank details and profile picture are erased, and your products are removed. You are logged out and cannot log in again.
• We keep past orders, payments and messages for the other people involved and for financial, fraud and dispute purposes. They show "Deleted user" instead of your details, and photos on past products may also be kept.
• You cannot delete your account while an order is in progress or a payout is still pending.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, in line with applicable data protection law, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act. You can delete your account yourself, as described above, or contact us using the details below.
